June Foray brought cartoon characters, Rocky the Flying Squirrel among them, alive across decades in animation, and honestly, that kind of behind-the-scenes longevity is exactly the underdog story I love finding in places people don't expect it — she's the voice everyone knows and grew up with, but almost nobody could pick her actual face out of a lineup. That's a lot like the assistant coaches and trainers who make a whole program run without ever getting their name called at the ceremony. I tell my players constantly that the work that matters most isn't always the work that gets seen, and Foray's whole prolific career is basically living proof — generations of kids formed real childhood memories around her voice without ever knowing her name, and she kept showing up to do the work anyway, decade after decade. That's a kind of quiet, sustained excellence I respect as much as any championship run. Sometimes the folks who never get the spotlight are the ones actually carrying the whole team.
