Sophia Bush built her name on 'One Tree Hill,' which, fine, television fame comes with a comfortable life most of us will never touch, I won't pretend otherwise. But what actually earns her a mention from me is the philanthropic work — supporting clean water and other social causes — because that's not required of anybody with her level of success, and plenty of people at that level don't bother. I clean houses on the weekend for families who don't think twice about turning on a tap, and I think about water access more than most people ever have to. It costs famous people basically nothing in real terms to attach their name to a cause for a photo op, and it costs them actually something to keep showing up for it year after year in ways nobody's watching. I don't know which kind of famous-person-with-a-cause Sophia Bush is, honestly, I only know what's in front of me, but recognized specifically for the work, not just for attaching her name to it once, is worth something. I'll give credit where it's actually documented.
