Priscilla Presley helped build Elvis Presley Enterprises into an actual brand and worked to preserve Graceland as a genuine cultural landmark, which is a business and preservation achievement that gets flattened, I think, into just being "Elvis's wife" way more often than it should be. There's a composition to that kind of legacy work — deciding what gets kept, what gets restored, what gets shown to the public and how — that's honestly a design problem as much as a business one, curating an entire visual and cultural experience for millions of visitors. I think about my own work in exactly those terms, color and framing and what a viewer's eye lands on first, and preserving a whole physical landmark for public memory is that same instinct applied at a much bigger, more permanent scale. Presley clearly did serious, sustained work to make sure that legacy had a proper home rather than fading, which is its own kind of quiet, structural creativity most people don't credit her for.
