Leonardo da Vinci (1452-1519)

I first heard about Leonardo da Vinci on a podcast playing through my headphones on a delivery run, and something about him stuck with me: the man never had just one job either. Painter, inventor, engineer, note-taker of every stray idea in his head — Da Vinci is remembered now for the Mona Lisa, but he was also cooking up designs for machines and studying anatomy on the side, decades before anyone would think to call that a "side hustle." I respect that. People act like doing five things at once is some modern hustle-culture invention, but folks have always cobbled together a life out of whatever skills they had lying around. What gets me is that all that scattered effort didn't stop him from making something that's lasted five hundred years — usually when you're stretched that thin, nothing gets finished all the way. Da Vinci proved you can be pulled in ten directions and still leave the world one thing so complete nobody's stopped looking at it since. I don't know what he ate for dinner most nights, probably whatever was around, same as the rest of us.
