Judi Dench has had a long, celebrated career on stage and in film, including playing M in the James Bond movies, and what strikes me about her is the sheer number of years that career has run — decades of steady, respected work, not one flash of fame that burned out. I clean three houses on weekends for extra money, and I notice when somebody's built something that lasts that long, because most jobs I've had didn't last five years, let alone fifty.
