Greta Thunberg started skipping school to sit outside parliament with a sign and somehow that turned into a genuinely global youth movement on climate action, which as a millennial-adjacent guy who still owes money on a failed startup, I find both inspiring and mildly humbling. I use AI constantly and generally think a lot of the "it's all doom" tech takes are overblown fear of change, but I try to actually sit with the counterarguments because, credit where due, teenagers like Thunberg forced a whole generation of comfortable adults, myself very much included, to stop treating a real problem like background noise. There's a meme-logic to how her movement spread — one very specific, very stubborn kid becoming a symbol almost overnight — that any startup founder would recognize and honestly envy a little. I don't always love how online everything about her story got, good and bad, but the core of it holds up: sometimes the only qualification you need to start something big is refusing to look away.
