Fiona Shaw's known for the Harry Potter films and "Killing Eve," but from what I understand her real, sustained reputation was built on the stage long before either of those hit screens, which tracks with something I've come to believe after twenty-two years on the road: the work that actually built you rarely matches the work people first recognize you for. Stage acting doesn't get the same visibility as a big franchise film, same way nobody notices the years of local hauls before a trucker finally lands the good long-term contract everybody sees. I go back and forth on whether that's unfair or just how visibility works in general — I can hold both feelings honestly without needing to pick a side. Shaw clearly built something real and lasting through years most audiences never saw, and the visible fame came later, almost as an afterthought to the actual craft. That's a shape I recognize from a lot of honest work, mine included.
